Lead Pastor Job Announcement
Bethel Church at Vista Pointe, located in Medford Oregon, is seeking a full time Lead Pastor who will provide strong leadership and vision to our staff and congregation.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
• The Lead Pastor will have general supervision of all the activities of the church. He serves as the President of the corporation and shall act as Chairman of all business meetings of the Assembly and the Board.
• The Lead Pastor shall be responsible for all church staff and their respective assignments. The Lead Pastor supervises the pastoral staff, assessing performance, and assures task completion. The Lead Pastor guides and encourages the staff’s spiritual, personal, and professional development. The Lead Pastor also provides leadership to lay leaders and meets with Church Board and ministry leads routinely and as circumstances dictate.
• The Lead Pastor shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and departments.
• The Lead Pastor shall provide for all the services of the assembly and shall arrange for all special meetings.
• The Lead Pastor shall be a member in good standing of the General and/or the District Council of the Assemblies of God.
Education and Experience:
• Possess license/ordination with the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a pastoral ministry setting preferred
ABOUT BeTHEL CHURCH
Bethel Church was established in 1953, eventually building our current campus in 2006, located on Vista Pointe Drive in the East foothills of Medford, Oregon.
There are over 150 active members at Bethel, predominantly consisting of English speakers with a Spanish translation program during Sunday services.
We are proud that our church has paid off the building mortgage and has a track-record of operating within the annual approved budget.
Services
Our average church attendance in our Sunday morning worship service is about 350 people, including in-person and online attendees. Our worship center can seat 650 people.
Our church body is used to receiving a strong Biblical message from the Lead Pastor and has a vibrant Worship Team that leads the congregation in a very passionate worship experience.

We are blessed to have excellent children and youth ministries that are dedicated to helping our younger generation know they are valued and grow in the Lord.
We are currently planning a remodel in our children’s large meeting room to make it visually fun.
creative arts
Our church is also privileged to have a Creative Arts Director on staff who is involved with creating drama presentations, music, and visual arts that point people to Jesus.
Roseburg Church Plant
Bethel Church, working closely with the Oregon Church Multiplication Network, launched a PAC church plant in the city of Roseburg, Oregon in the fall of 2022.
River City Church is led by Pastor BJ & Meghan Dale, former youth pastor of Bethel Church. They are joined by Kayla and Ben Hawkins-Carter, also from Bethel Church, who lead the worship and children's ministry teams.

MEDFORD OREGON
Medford is a city of approximately 85,000 people, located in Southern Oregon. It is in the heart of the Rogue Valley along Interstate 5, just 27 miles North of the California state line. Medford is the regional industrial, medical, and service center for 221,000 people, the fourth largest metro area in Oregon.
Protected by surrounding mountains, Medford has a relatively mild climate and four distinct seasons, providing diverse opportunities for year-round recreational and cultural opportunities. With 200 days of annual sunshine and annual precipitation of 23 inches, the area is great for outdoor activities.
Medford is only a short drive from Crater Lake National Park and the beautiful Oregon coast. The area is serviced by the Rogue Valley International Airport, which provides non-stop flights to seven large hub airports.
